A suggested 12-day private journey combining Cape Town's coast and culture, a safari in the Greater Kruger region and Victoria Falls. This is a sample plan, not a confirmed package: accommodation, regional flights, guiding, activities and all inclusions will be confirmed in your written quote. Wildlife sightings and outdoor activities depend on local conditions. Allow extra days for international travel from Australia.
Day by day
Day 1 — Arrive Cape Town
Arrive in Cape Town and transfer to your proposed hotel. Leave the rest of the day free to rest or enjoy the waterfront at your own pace.
Day 2 — Cape Town & Table Mountain
Explore selected city sights with a private guide. Plan a Table Mountain cableway visit if weather and operating conditions permit; an alternative city visit can be arranged.
Day 3 — Cape Peninsula
Follow the coastal route towards Cape Point, with a proposed stop at Boulders Beach to observe African penguins. The driving route and visits are subject to road conditions and opening arrangements.
Day 4 — Cape Winelands
Discover Stellenbosch or Franschhoek with your guide. Wine tastings, a scenic lunch or non-wine alternatives can be selected and priced to suit your party.
Day 5 — Travel to Greater Kruger
Take a separately quoted regional flight to a suitable airport and transfer to your selected safari lodge. Depending on arrival time, join an afternoon game drive in the lodge's operating area.
Day 6 — Safari landscapes
Join planned early-morning and late-afternoon game drives with lodge guides. Enjoy time to relax between outings. Wildlife encounters cannot be guaranteed; safari vehicles may be shared unless a private vehicle is quoted.
Day 7 — Another day on safari
Continue exploring the reserve on guided drives. A bush walk may be available subject to age restrictions, guide availability and safety conditions; it is not guaranteed.
Day 8 — Travel to Victoria Falls
Transfer to the airport and fly towards Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe using the connection available for your dates. Connections may require extra time or an additional overnight, with the final schedule confirmed in your quote.
Day 9 — Victoria Falls
Plan a guided walk on the Zimbabwe side of the falls. Water levels, spray and visibility change with the season; paths can be wet, and walking arrangements can be adapted to your needs.
Day 10 — Zambezi River
Enjoy a relaxed morning. A sunset river cruise can be arranged as an optional activity, subject to availability and weather; wildlife sightings are not assured.
Day 11 — Victoria Falls at leisure
Keep the day flexible for rest or separately quoted local excursions. Helicopter flights and other adventure activities have their own safety requirements and are not part of this suggested base plan.
Day 12 — Departure
Transfer to the airport for your onward flight. Ask about extending your safari or adding another destination, allowing for extra travel days and any visa requirements.
